Summary: Great but it shuts off way to soon!
Comment: IT should have an option to get it on for longer 20-30min! it only last like 5 and it is annoyong to restart it when the babe is trying to sleep!

Comment: All this aquarium did was disturb my son's sleep. It seems to be made pretty well, but I don't see the benefit of having one of these in my child's crib. The amount of times he would switch it on and play with it therefore waking himself up was crazy! In the end I removed it. Total waste of money!

Summary: Where does the water go???
Comment: I received this product as a gift when my son was a few months old. After having it in storage for a couple of years I took it out this morning to put it up for my daughter and there's barely any water left. I called the consumer number on the back and I was told that yes, sometimes the water evaporates but no one knows where it goes. I was told it was a mystery. And there's no way to replace it. I expected a little something other than an "I'm sorry" from the very nice woman I spoke with, but no. We liked it very much for my son and would have given it a four star rating, but based on the fact that it does not survive the test of time, I give it only one star.
As far as discarding it, I was told to bring it to an electronics recycler. There goes a few more bucks on a toy that has no use to me. Sigh.

Summary: Still going strong!
Comment: My mother bought this new for my first son when he was born three years ago. They weren't selling it at Babies R Us anymore because of a newer version, but she insisted on this one and was bummed that it wasn't available. My older sister used it for her son and raved about it, that's why my mother wanted this one specifically. Luckily we found one, only one, at Baby Depot (Burlington Coat Factory) for only 11.95. My boys absolutely love it. My older son used it in the nursery until he got a "big boy" room at 18 months, after his little brother was born. Our younger son doesn't use it for sleeping anymore but it entertains him in the morning so he doesn't wake up crying. Music mode, running water mode, and also a mode with soothing lights and bubbles (with or without music). I know it's expensive now but if someone gives you one, keep it! If you find one second-hand, buy it! Don't hesitate.

Summary: Durable toy for baby
Comment: We bought this aquarium secondhand for $5. It's an older model that isn't being sold anymore. We've been using it every night for at least a month (up to 45 minutes), and batteries are still strong. Bebe loves watching the fish roll around in the bubbles and lights. She also loves flicking the spring that makes the starfish spin around. Four things I don't like about it: the colors of the fish are a bit weird to me, I wish this model had a remote (the new one does), I wish the music was longer than 5 minutes, and the New Age music creeps me out. One thing I do like about it is that you have the option of lights and bubbles with no music, or music with no lights and bubbles.
